Facecicles are one of my favorite parts of winter, beards, and biking.  I really think they’re fantastic.

More facecicles here, and face frost here.

Face Frost

Seeing as how it was only 2 degrees F outside when I started my ride home from work today, I figured I’d leave my face mask off and try for some more Facecicles. When I got home, I didn’t have any Facecicles, but I sure had some Face Frost (click to enlarge):
Now I understand why arctic explorers always have beardos.

On Wednesday, my usual bike ride to and from work is a little extended ‘cuz I ride all the way out to the Crystal LDS church for Scout Meetings.  Total trip ~21 miles.  It’s a good ride – especially the ride home, which is about 11 of those miles.  I get to ride through Theo Wirth Park – a good ride that I don’t often get to do just because I’m not up that direction too often.

It was pretty warm this evening – about 14 degrees F, so I decided not to wear a face mask.  Just for kicks.  + I really get a kick out of the facecicles that start to hang off my beardo.  You’re gonna want to click to enlarge this one.  I’m totally into facecicles.
