Ok, we’re nearing the end of our garage-building marathon. We’ve spent 5 days working 10-12 hour days, and this is what we’ve got so far:
Garage.
Blank Wall.
Tomorrow, we’re skipping church, and hoping to get the roof on.
After that, here’s a list of things to finish:
- build portico
- build gable supports
- hang doors (hire out overhead door?)
- soffits
- siding
Hmm… still sounds like a lot!

It’s looking good… but boy I will never do this project, it looks really tiring at the same time
Reuben, if you can build a garage you can totally handle building face frames for cabinets. I’m from the twin cities as well so if you ever want to try some of this fine carpentry stuff before buying all the tools and jigs you can come try them at my shop.
