Would you like a tour of our new home?
On the morning of our closing, we did a final walk-through of the house just to make sure everything was in good shape before we signed our lives away. It’s ALWAYS critical to do a final walk-through the day of signing.
As we walked through the house we were about to buy, we were both filled with a wonderful sense of excitement of the new adventure we were starting together, but also a little sense of dread. We knew that the house needed a lot of work, but as we walked through the house as it was totally empty, we started to get a sense of just how much work the place would need. It was intimidating to say the least.
The main floor consists of the living room, dining room, kitchen, master bedroom, second bedroom, and the main bathroom.
The upstairs attic space consists of a bedroom, a half bath, and some storage space.
About one third of the basement is finished space, with the remainder being storage, laundry, and mechanicals.
Despite the many aesthetic and mechanical problems that we’re going to be dealing with for the next few years, we are totally in love with this home. Our biggest problem right now is that the to-do list is so long, we’re not sure where to start.
