Fried Green Tomatoes (and Cukes)

After reading about Bill’s recent experience with fried cukes, I discovered that Mel had never had fried green tomatoes.  Something about this didn’t seem right, because I remember having them all the time growing up.  So I decided that Mel should have them.  Actually, I seem to remember hating them when I was younger, but we decided to give it a whirl anyway with lemon cukes and some toms:


Note: the long skinny tom was too ripe, and the yellow one was WAY too ripe to be fried and almost made me barf.  The rest, especially the cukes, were tasty.
