Restaurant Review: Cedar Inn

Mel and I were both a little cranky this evening, her because of a long day at work, me because I had to drive a car today – and I have to drive again tomorrow….  so we decided to go out for dinner.

We decided to try the Cedar Inn because we drive by it all the time and like to support local dives.  It’s not really our scene, though. The decor is motorcycles & nascar – neither of which interest us at all, but the service was friendly.  We both ordered burgers and had the mozzarella sticks as an appetizer.  The food was perfectly acceptable.  No complaints.
Overall, it was a very pleasant experience.  The only thing is… when we left, neither of us could think of a single reason why we would go again when Matt’s Bar is cheaper, tastier, closer, and there are more greasy cheese explosions.  So I’ll give the Cedar Inn a thumbs up, but next time we want burgers, we’ll definitely hit up Matt’s.
Cedar Inn also serves pizza, though, so maybe that’s worth a shot.

  • They used to serve free cheese balls. Not sure if that's still the case. I've gone there post-Matt's to help free up a table for people who've been waiting at Matt's.

The Nascar scene isn't really my scene either but even though my crowd was out of place the people were really friendly.

  • Cheese explosions? I'm not even sure what that is, but it sure sounds delicious!
