Psalms 137:1, 3-4
By the rivers of Babylon, there we sat down, yea, we wept, when we remembered Zion. For there they that carried us away captive required of us a song; and they that wasted us required of us mirth, saying, Sing us one of the songs of Zion. How shall we sing the LORD’s song in a strange land?
Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer.
As I found myself drifting away from the LDS church theologically, I learned to trust in meditation, pondering, and prayer. Most importantly, I have learned to trust my heart & soul.I am once again proud to sing the songs of Zion. They don’t have the same meaning to me that they used to, but they remain the songs of Zion. It is my prayer that the Lord will indeed accept the meditation of my heart and the songs of my soul.
