Who’s YOUR Running Mate?

So now we know who both the VP candidates will be. I’m not much of a political analyst, but I think it was a pretty smart move for McCain to choose Sarah Palin. A few days ago, though, I saw a funny comment on the Star Tribune web site. Check out the “Featured Comment” in the pic below:
It’s a funny comment, but even more funny that it’s the “featured comment.” How exactly are the featured comments chosen, I wonder. If this was chosen, I’m guessing it’s random.

Who’s YOUR running mate?

  • I understand that McCain would want Palin to help draw in the votes that would have gone to Clinton, but I have to wonder if Palin's strong anti-abortion stance is going to be more of a hinderance to that approach than the fact that Palin is a woman and is known (by those who know her) for reform.

  • My running mate is a Thick and Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie.

I was shocked when I found out that Palin was his VP choice. The whole way home I couldn't help but think what a move! Of course there are going to be those people who might vote for them just because she is a woman. But from the little I've read she might be what he needs to win over the hearts of the far right…she's anti-abortion, she's pro creating a pipe-line from AK to the lower 50 states so maybe she all for drilling there?? (I'm sure there are other factors too, but those are the ones that came to mind first).

  • Running mate? Hmm…. I would have to say God, then Evan, followed by cheesecake.

  • I think Palin could be really good for the white house.

However, I keep asking myself, would McCain have picked a man with a similar experience level?

  • As for my running mate… easy choice. I picked her almost 4 years ago, Jo, my wife.

  • Sally McLellan is my running mate.
