Melanie and I are in need of suggestions for adventures we can complete during future weekends. Any ideas?

Have you been on any good adventures lately that we could try?

  1. My boyfriend and I had a fun adventure yesterday clearing out part of a forest and setting up a zipline! It's going to be awesome when it's completed. You'll need a harness, rope (or metal wire thick enough to hold a person), pulley, some carabiners, machete (for the brush in the way), and two trees.

  2. How about jumping in your car and driving for 17 hours?? We made it to Rochester late last night & I woke up this morning feeling like I had been hit by a car…..

No, really I always thought it would be fun to make a little trip to Mankato (I read in an article once that they have alot of bike trails throughout the city). Don't forget the annual river tubing, BWCA, bike grand rounds, a day at the MoA always feels like an adventure to me. I'll let you know if I come up with anything else…

  3. Thanks for the suggestions! We did get out and do a few things this week- we explored a new bike trail, went for a walk around Lake Calhoun for some people watching, and even went to the theater (live, not movie), but we think those are considered 'outings', not 'adventures', so we need to come up with something good for next weekend.

  4. Critical mass this Friday…that is aways an adventure. Will anyone get arrested? Will anyone get run down by a car?

I just read an article in the Star Tribune about Rice creek opening up last weekend. "Boaters can paddle up to 17 miles on Rice Creek, which is now open to the public from Lino Lakes in the north to the Mississippi River in Fridley in the south. The creek had been gated off at the former Twin Cities Army Ammunition Plant in Arden Hills since the 1940s, roughly dividing the water trail in half."

  5. I heard the Jolly Green Giant Statue is in Minnesota, you guys should check it out and take pictures!
Okay, not so adventurous maybe, but it's all I could come up with.
